Summer summary

It's been a couple months since my last entry. That wasn't the plan, but life happens. After our stop in Joliet to visit our son we went up to Michigan to visit lots of family and friends until mid July. We had a great time relaxing and catching up with everyone.

While in Michigan we found out our daughter has breast cancer and was to begin chemo right away. So we scrapped the original travel plans and made as short a trip as reasonably possible to get to Tacoma, WA. We are now spending lots of time taking care of the grandkids during treatments and recovery. We'll be here for several months helping out before we take the RV back to AZ.

We did make a stop at Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site on our trip across the country. This is a great place to visit to learn the story of a big western ranch. The place has all original buildings and furnishings dating from the 1870 to the present. We had an enjoyable several hours there.
